Welcome to Point Arena Pages!
We are a community of citizens of the city of Point Arena, sharing our creations and ourselves through a social website untouched by the schools' blocking systems. Here you can interact with friends, see their creations, and submit your own. PA Pages was made possible thanks to a grant from the Community Foundation of Mendocino County.
Ignore the "can't send e-mail" errors. The website is not supposed to send e-mails.
On PAPages, you can create and submit audio, videos, images, polls, blogs, stories, forum topics, and polls. To submit one, click on the Add content link on the left links of any page (navigation links). There you can choose the type. Reading the descriptions for the content types is important.
HTML and BBCode are used to embed files into your posts and to make the text you type look different. For help with embedding files into a forum post using HTML, go here.
For help with other HTML things and BBCode, go here.
The administrators of Point Arena Pages are the runners of the Tech Center (currently Blake More and Brendan Mobert) and Jimi Bove. If you are on this web site right now, then either Brendan or Blake are here for you to talk to. If you'd rather be a little quiet, you may send a private message to the administrative account, papas123. This applies to reporting spam or offensive content as well.
User Profile: Everything you can put in a profile besides what's already there. To include images, videos, or any other media, then in the About Me and Interests boxes, if you set the Input format to Full HTML, you can embed media from other websites in there using the embed code.
Custom User Profiles: A user profile built as content. This is for advanced users who want to use HTML, BBCode, or CSS to make their own customized profile.
If you get errors on the website, it could be on our end or on your end.
If it's a video uploaded to PAPages, make sure Quicktime (or a Quicktime replacement) is installed and properly integrated with your browser. If it's another media type uploaded to the site, or any media type imbedded in the site, make sure Flash Player is properly integrated with your browser. Remember that reloading the page, restarting the web browser, and upgrading Quicktime or Flash are all ways you can fix a problem with viewing media.
